Capacity Building Volunteer  (Recruitment on an on-going basis)

A capacity building volunteer  is needed to work with the Vincentian Fathers in their new Mission and Development Office. The ideal skill set would include experience of report writing and editing, funding proposal drafting, information management as well as general administration and computer skills. It is also desirable that the volunteer have experience with WordPress or web editing, however training will be provided pre-departure.

Any individual with experience and skills in this area would provide a very worthwhile service to our partners in Ethiopia. With this, the volunteer will also be expected to transfer skills through mentoring project managers/directors or delivering workshops on topics such as business English, human resources, reporting, securing funding etc.

The volunteer will receive pre-departure training and an in-country induction. Accommodation is provided and the volunteer will be based in Addis Ababa with some travel to regional projects. The placement is for three months with an option to extend to six months or longer. As with all VLM placements, volunteers are expected to self-fund their participation.
