The VLM schools immersion project group from 2024 and wider St Paul’s College community raised an amazing €8,000 for the De Paul School run by the Vincentian Fathers in Kamulu, Kenya. The group of ten students and two teachers volunteered there in June 2024, teaching English, Maths, sports, and games.

The money raised has been used to develop and equip two home science classrooms in the school, one for cooking lessons and one for sewing lessons. These additional classrooms offer teaching in skills that are both essential for the curriculum and give students the potential to earn an income after they finish school.

The massive efforts towards fundraising are so very much appreciated by VLM and our partner projects and are truly making a life-changing difference to communities in the Global South.
