€200,000 raised to date for the Ambo Kindergarten and Social Housing Project

€200,000 raised to date for the Ambo Kindergarten and Social Housing Project Approximately €200,000 has been sent to build, run and maintain the Ambo kindergarten and social housing project over the past 20 years. Through the Irish Travelling Community two classrooms were built, the toilets, the groundwork and lately they have fundraised for a clinic which is being built. VLM Christmas Raffle Winners!

VLM Christmas Raffle Winners! Huge thank you to everyone who bought tickets for the recent VLM Christmas raffle. We had an amazing response and raised a phenomenal €7197, which will go towards supporting our work with the Vincentian Fathers and Daughters of Charity across Africa. Last year we sent 48 volunteers and over €175,000 to projects in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania. We really appreciate your support and thank you sincerely for helping to make this happen. Church Collections 2024

Church Collections 2024 As part of the AMRI Mission Appeal, this year, VLM were given six parishes in the Diocese of Derry to speak about our work. We are building a Mission Team and as well as covering these parishes, we also were given the opportunity to talk in an additional three parishes. We would like to extend a huge thanks to the parishes of Ardmore, Creggan, Templemore, Claudy, Faughanvale, Swatragh in the Diocese of Derry, Whitehall and Baldoyle in the Diocese of Dublin and Mill Hill in London. We raised an incredible total of €19,594 that will support the work of VLM and our partner projects across Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania. Dublin Marathon 2024

Dublin Marathon 2024 We would like to express HUGE thanks to Michael McMahon and Owen McGrane who recently took part in the Dublin Marathon for VLM. Between them they raised a phenomenal €4500, which will support our work across Africa. Scoil naomh Brid agus Padriag Bake Sale This wonderful group of students from Scoil naomh Brid agus Padriag in Mayo ran a bake sale and raffle and raised a phenomenal €1500 for our ‘Buy the Bus’ fundraiser. Children in Masanga, Tanzania currently walk 10km and more to get to school every day and our aim is to raise money to buy them a school bus. Share this article

€30,000 raised for Kindergarten in Shishinda, Ethiopia

€30,000 raised for Kindergarten in Shishinda, Ethiopia In 2017, VLM supported the construction of a new kitchen/store/toilet, dining room and renovation of 3 classrooms for the Kindergarten in Shishinda in Ethiopia. This also covered the training of two Kindergarten teachers. The project improved the facilities for 50 existing students and expanded the capacity of the school to include an additional 70 students thereby improving education facilities for 120 children.
