Dóchas is the Irish Association of Non-Governmental Development Organisations. VLM is a signatory to the Dóchas Code of Conduct on the use of imagery and messaging. This code informs organisations on how they can ethically communicate their work and fundraise. The core principles that signatories ascribe to are as follows:
• Respect for the dignity of the people concerned;
• Belief in the equality of all people;
• Acceptance of the need to promote fairness, solidarity and justice.
