Matisi is an area of low economic status just outside Kitale town in Western Kenya. Most families in the area experience high levels of poverty. The main issues are substandard housing, high unemployment, drug and alcohol abuse and a high number of orphans living with their grandparents. The result is that many children cannot afford to pay their school fees. For €21 a month you can sponsor the school fees of a child for a year, giving them the gift of an education.
