VLM’s volunteer programme was started in 2002 by Vincentian Priest Fr. Michael McCullagh CM. Since then, over 500 volunteers from across Ireland have engaged with our programme. Our volunteer programme is about reverse mission – creating, encouraging and inspiring a community of individuals living out the Vincentian ethos and its values of justice and solidarity on their return home. Our volunteer programme is at the heart of what we do.
Our Mission Statement Is:
To form and facilitate our members to immerse themselves in the experience and culture of the Vincentian mission overseas, so that reflecting on the learned experience, they will, on their return, effect change and transformation both locally and globally.
