Suggest a casual clothes day at your school or workplace, charging a donation from everyone for the privilege.

Special occasions like birthdays mean presents. But maybe you feel like you have everything you need. Why not ask your friends and family not to give you anything for your next birthday but instead make a donation to VLM? Weddings are one of the best occasions for this. Many couples who have maybe got everything they need for their house will ask their guests to donate to charity or make a small donation instead of having wedding favours.
Car Boot Sale
Is your house full of unwanted trinkets, toys and books all of which are collecting dust? A car boot sale could be a fantastic solution. In a matter of hours you could have a clutter-free house and have raised some funds. Organised car boot sales are fun and friendly where you’ll find all sorts of folks buying other people unwanted goods. Remember your junk is someone’s else’s treasure.
